How to Backup Data

The best way to back up data on a windows phone is using SkyDrive.

Microsoft cloud storage service. To backup app settings,photos and text

messages go to Settings---->backup and individually select what you want to backup.

You will require a Microsoft account to back up your data on SkyDrive

You can also save your contacts to your Google account from your windows phone.

How To Restore your Phone

While setting up new Windows phone device or an old device after a reset , select restore your phone

during the process. Your phone must have working data connection and you will have to use Microsoft ID through which you backed up your data to SkyDrive.
